Foster's Inn is located in Stratford, Ontario steps from the Avon Theatre and includes a restaurant and lounge in the wonderfully decorated building. The menu selections are relatively few in comparison at Foster's Inn, but the meals are made from local ingredients and are tempting enough that many foodies will want to try them all.



Some of the dishes prepared at Foster's Inn include Calves liver and onions, Buttermilk Boneless Fried Chicken, Atlantic salmon salad, Cobb salad, steak Nicoise salad, 7-ounce tenderloin and 10-ounce striploin. Foster's gourmet burgers come in beef, lamb or vegetarian style with your choice of toppings like 4-year old cheddar strip bacon or caramelized onions for a start.

Foster's Inn in Stratford, Ontario is not only a great place to stay but also to dine. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast.. and felt completely comfortable while there, as all safety protocols were in place. The food was as fantastic as the service, which never fails to be friendly and efficient and warm. We're already looking forward to going back in the New Year (when the province starts opening back up again).

Due to Covid we were itching to take a trip. We decided to take a "stay and play" at Fosters Inn. Two nights stay at the Inn and three rounds of golf. The package allowed you to choose from six golf courses. Each course was a good experience. Fosters arranged the tee times and accommodated our requests. Great location right downtown which makes it very convenient to check out the local attractions and restaurants. The suite was nice and roomy. They also have a restaurant which turned out to be really, really good. The French Toast for breakfast was fantastic. Dinner was incredible. And lets not forget Kate and Ryan who made us feel right at home with attentive service. We would highly recommend Foster's Inn. Great value for the money!

A great experience! Service was super welcoming and friendly. I ordered the salmon dish, and was NOT disappointed. Many places overcook salmon, but mine was cooked perfectly. The top had a lovely sear, and it sat among bright vegetables in a lovely pesto broth. The only complaint I would have is that the food was a little slow BUT it tasted so good it was worth it. Besides, their kitchen seemed pretty small, and I’m sure its difficult to put out 9 dishes at the same time- which they did. The dessert was fantastic as well. Well balanced and not too sweet. If I ever return to Stratford, I’m coming back!

Did the stay and play package - 2 nights and 3 rounds - fantastic deal. The hotel had really great rooms, very spacious and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient, Craig went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast included was anything off the menu and was hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. Dinner was also delicious. The hotel is in the heart of Stratford, great location for river walks, dining and enjoying the sights of the the town on foot. Really great experience and highly recommended .

Almost the closest restaurant nearby Avon Theatre. Plenty selections on the Ala Carte Menu plus Daily Specials. Roasted salmon with risotto was good but a bit too much pesto. Thai Curry Sirloin Tips tasted good but the curry sauce is too watery. It might be better if they serve it with rice.
