This page is dedicated to showcasing my artwork, which consists of acrylic and oil painting on stretched canvas or metallic panels. When I first started, I painted in the "Realism" style, similar to Robert Bateman or Carl Brenders. Robert Bateman actually critiqued some of my art pieces when I was 18 at an outdoor show at Bon Echo park, Ontario, and told my sister that he thought I was 35 years old based on my skills. Then, as I moved to Alberta, I shifted to what I call "Modern Impressionism", a looser and more abstract style that is featured on bigger size canvas. One of these paintings, called Alberta Dawn and featuring a couple of big horn sheep, sold at a live auction for $12K. When I moved to northern Alberta, I witnessed the amazing Northern Lights phenomenon, which inspired me to paint a third style that I named SkyDance Series, featuring wildlife in the sky merging with the lights. Finally, I recently started a fourth style that I call "Metal Art", which features some grinding and airbrushing on metallic panels. My biggest project in that style is the double mural that I completed for the new terminal of the airport or Fort McMurray. This page is another way to keep you posted on the new pieces and events where you can see my art displayed.
