Quite a nice store with good selection. Most staff are nice, some don't seem interested in helping. It's always busy here so I guess it's popular enough. The items on sale I wanted were not in stock on the first morning of the advertised sales day. That's not good planning. I didn't go back to check if they were available as I found the same at Superstore for about the same price. Two stars because of lack of advertised merchandise.

Most Non-Intuitive Self Serve Checkout interface at Food Basics, I use Walmart and Shoppers Drug very Intuitive Self Serve Checkouts with no problems, if you want to avoid frustration avoid Food Basics Self Serve Checkout, go through regular checkout. If Food Basics did some research they would find that there is far more intuitive self serve checkouts than theirs. Hire quality programmers to fix this mess !!!! None of following Quick Look Up, Look Up By Name, Use My Own Bag, Enter Item Number, Finish and Pay etc etc !!!!

Most of their Employees were not very professional like on my last visit..but this one lady..either a shift supervisor or floor manager..she was so rude and had no clue how the cashiers line ups worked at all!! If she didn't asked usto move and go to cashier #3 lineup we wouldn't of had to wait an extra 1/2 hr in line while people that weren't even in the general lineup with us but like at least 15min.after we were moved to line #3.were done,paid and out the door before us..when i tried to politely explained this mistake of hers she brushed me off and rushed us to bag our groceries faster. We've been shopping at that Food Basic for yrs..but if this sort of service happens again we will go to their competitors instead..

Not enough checkouts open at 8am. One is not enough. Sure they have the self checkouts for small orders which are quick but I wait 1/2 hr in line everytime because I have a cart full. This is so frustrating! Customer service not important anymore?

Anytime I come here I have had a decent experience with finding the items that are needed in my home, sometimes it is hard to find someone to ask a question but when I do they always seem to be friendly! Which is nice to have! And the store is usually very clean!
