My family was turned away from the food bank, get this because my parents made to much money. That month we had to choose between power or food. They want to know what you make no one there cares about the bills that you have piled up or the circumstances that have left you with no food. That month two little girls went hungry. I refuse to donate to a food bank that would turn anyone away because they make to much money, I've heard more story's about people getting turned away than people being helped. Most people swallow their pride to go to a food back during desperate times only to be turned away because they make to much money.
Always stop in to talk to Donna. Great community service.
