Having just moved to the area, my partner and I were on the lookout for a new gym. Went in to ask about signing up and whether we could take advantage of the 3 day trial and were essentially told, "everybody is looking for a free trial", "why do you need a free trial? Here is the gym you can see it now!" Extremely rude, condescending and unfriendly. The whole point of a trial is to get a feel for the gym. Being made to feel like we were just looking for a freebie was embarrassing and as a result they will not be getting our business. No wonder the place is so quiet! A word to the owners, get your manager sorted out! Her poor manner and attitude is costing you business!
Great club and the girls who do child minding are amazing. Never have to wait for a machine. Ample free parking. No judgements from trainers or other gym goers here. Always clean and tidy
Good value for the price. Nothing spectacular. perfect if you're just looking for a solid workout.
I'm moving to Calgary from out of town. I'm currently in Calgary looking at houses and for various other services. I found Fitness NW and thought it would be great, plus they have a free three day trial. I went to the gym and.. Let me just say, this gym is the reason people are afraid of the gym. The staff were RUDE. I explained my situation and they told me that I could only try the gym if I was actually living in Calgary (Rudely). Interestingly their website doesn't mention that. I'll go to another gym, thanks for showing me what your gym is all about.
My bf and I , we're members for a year . Pricing monthly isn't bad for what you get. Pros : main gym area / spacious women's Sauna Tidy in change rooms Staff is friendly Cons : Classes are in the middle of the women's section , must blast your own music or go to the other side Staff aren't knowledgeable of the equipment, ( was telling them the smith machine was broken and she had zero idea what I was talking about ..it was the only one in the room ) Hip abductor equipment was broken for 4 months and was until my last day Aug 15th 1/3 trainers I've seen.. look the part and pay attention to their client Music is horribleeeeee Mgr doesn't have the customer service personality
Had a great experience, .I could not believe how inexpensive it is, I would highly recommend this place.
Managers are straight up so rude and disrespectful. They push so hard for you to buy membership before they even answer the most basic questions about the gym and facilities. After my trial, I said I only want a three to six month membership, and they still pushed me to sign a one year contract. Not to mention while I was trying out the gym, the managers would badmouth their front desk staff (who look like they're in high school working min wage). Seems like a hostile environment and cheap looking gym.
