Currently under renovations. What they have done so far looks great from the street. It seems to have been on a stand still for quite a while. maybe opening summer 2019?
The Royal Resort is not open. Has been under construction for 2 years.
We had friends over from the UK a few years ago. This place advertised home cooked gourmet meals, It looked good until we got there. The owner was like Broomhilda. Rooms were filthy and washroom facilities were rusted brown. The Hot tub in our first room pumped out rusty coloured water. When we complained, we were told "This is the country". Essentially, get over it. Meals were poorly prepared and anything but gourmet. Who uses boxed croutons and packet caramel pudding.? We ended up staying one night because by the time we realised how bad it was it was too late to find anywhere else. We complained in the morning and left. Actually told the owner that this was more like "The last resort"!. Interested to see how the new ownership will improve and correct all of the failings of the previous ownership.
