We decided in late December that we wanted to buy a house outside of Toronto. We were more interested in specific features, rather than a specific area, so we started by driving north around Angus and Bradford. When we started driving around north of the city we saw lots of billboards for Faris Team. When we searched them on Google we found that they were one of the biggest teams in the areas we were looking. Having that large network to rely on ensured we would see all the houses based on our filters. We met virtually with Shaker Srouji. His calm demeanor and professionalism really put us at ease. It was seeming like a large undertaking but he handled our requirements and uncertainties skillfully. We were scattered, looking for such a wide variety of features and areas. Each day for a week my wife was going through a hundred listings and emailing Shaker a list of 8-10 houses we were interested in. Shaker was very open and patient, and really helped to limit which houses would actually work for us, and which would just be a waste based on things we had mentioned we definitely didn't want like tenants. Shaker made my wife feel great about our choices, pointing out the great features of each property, and letting us know what may not work for us. We were able to able to find and buy our first house within one month of looking, and I don't think that would have happened without Shaker's help. Shaker was immensely helpful during what could have been an extremely stressful time. We couldn't have it without him. I actually hope we will stay friends with Shaker, and we plan to use him if we ever need to sell this house in the future.
