Places like this are are far too few in this city. What they do is a major service to young people and helping them find a way forward and becoming self sufficient. I was part of team that spent some time helping give the place a fresh look and feel welcoming to those that need this places help. The people running this place are friendly and full of compassion for the young people they try to help. It is sad that in this day and age we still need places like this, but while this is a still a truth in our society.... I am glad there are places like this that exist. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard.

I loved staying therr. The staff are great and friendly. I have a few in mind that I consider my favorite. No names but yeah five star ratings still
Management is horrible, staff have to apply to strict rules, no tailoring to one's own problems. The counsellors are pretty useless when it comes to connecting you to the resources you need, they do not know how to help someone who is in immense pain, or constant misfortune, they are more concerned with keeping their jobs, so instead of helping you when you're angry and having a hard time controlling it, or anxious and having a hard time dealing with people, you are more likely to get a warning (5 and you're kicked out). I have personally seen staff AND upper management steal the good donations that come in for us homeless youth. We are treated like we are sub-human and have no rights. Curfew is 11 on weekdays, 1 on weekends, and you are required to do a chore (some are ridiculously easy, others absurdly hard) EVERYDAY no matter your mental or physical state. This place is designed like a youth prison, with some 12' x 8' rooms having 4 people stuffed into them. The HVAC system is completely buggered and sometimes we have to sleep in freezing 10 degree rooms, or 40-50 degree rooms. Everything about the family reconnect is a farce, they only have one counsellor handling a workload that is near criminal, and they tend to drive families apart rather than fix them. This place is rotten and the kids are less likely to steal than the staff are. Management needs complete replacing. They run the place like a cruel dictatorship. EDIT: they found my review the day after it was posted, and now are taking it out on me, will update if I am kicked out

The staff are good people who helped me through a lot of bad times. Food is okay but too much junk food. Free wifi but its wonky. It's a bit of a walk to go anywhere or do much and right near a highway and tonnes of fast traffic which can be frustrating. It's a good temporary place to stay for homeless youth.
