I recently called this place to clarify some details before booking a visit. The conversation lasted about 5 minutes and was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I've ever had. The owner of the business did not have the patience to even let me finish any of my questions, let alone provide the required information. In the short period of our communication he also managed to come across as arrogant, condescending, and outright rude. Way to attract new customers... Don't hold your breath for my booking.

The only place that I know in Calgary if you would like a real sauna, with the right kind of really warm temperature like in Europe. The first time I came the other people in the sauna were welcoming and helpful. And since then I look forward to this friendly atmosphere each time I come. When you step through the front door you enter another world that feels like a wood cabin out in the woods. I highly recommend coming here to relax and to regenerate your body.

Called them to check the dates to make a booking for my birthday and the owner told me that there is no availability. To my question "How can a new customer get in?" he replied "We don't need new customers!" So if you are not a regular at that place - don't bother calling them, there are more welcoming places in Calgary. I'm sure they are good people, but customer service really matters, so does the attitude...

When I called to see what facilities were available for a person coming alone the employee was rude and belittling, making me feel like I should already know only groups are welcome and that everything is booked days in advance. He finished with saying "We're here to make money not be accommodating". nuff said

Oak Leaf is my favourite place to relax and recharge. I go every week. Excellent staff complement a plush lounge, a hot banya (sauna), and an icy botchka (ice bath). The combination of these help my body detox and rebuild. I highly recommend Oak Leaf.
