Very disappointed by the portions. I assume that due to the 50% off promo, the also reduced 50% of the portion sizes. I went for the first.time with great expectations but will not be returning. Restaurants need to understand that during this pandemic, customers are choosing to support local. Brisket image before even being touched.

I was cycling by this establishment on this fine spring day when I saw the half price sign on the window. The aroma of smoked ribs drew me in and I determined that I would order dinner for takeout! I got chicken legs and chicken wings, both with salad, coleslaw and a half dill pickle. It was all yummy and a cheap dinner, as long as the 50% off lasts! The coleslaw was exceptionally good, not vinegary. The green salad was fresh and the homemade dressing was 5 star. I shall return!

Quick and courteous customer service. The flavors in the smoked ribs were fantastic.. But the meat and quantity really felt lacking for the price (still kudos for the 50% off menu!). The smoked chicken on the other hand was fantastic! Couldn't get enough of it. As for the Pecan and peach salad, it complemented the meat pretty well! I hope these guys make it through these tough times but also kick up their quantity up a notch. I look forward to trying their chicken again though!

Pros: - I loved the service as the staff were super friendly. - The food (chicken and fries) were genuinely very flavourful. Cons: - Some of the items were very dry and lacking some flavour (namely, the brisket). - Currently they have a 50% off the entire menu promotion, however if this promotion didn't exist, this would be a very expensive menu.

1stars for the brisket - it was dry. But in all honesty, I walked in half hour before close so maybe that's why. I will come and try it earlier in the day next time and if it's anything like the chicken then I'm sure it'll be a higher rating. UPDATE (12/31): I went back the next day, this time much earlier 6pm - the brisket was dry and tasteless. This second visit, I also tried the back ribs, these were two bones with barely any meat, in fact only one bone really had meat on it the other one was just burnt sauce - absolutely not worth the money. 4stars for the chicken - it was great, nice smoky flavour, soft and tender, juicy. Bbq sauce was a spicy tangy. Loved the coleslaw, nice and creamy. Fries, nope, won't order these again - bland, dry/grainy fries. Based on all other reviews I can see that people like the place, but I think the big reason is because there are no alternatives in the area - the closest place I would say is Northern Smoke in Scarborough or Meat and Pie co. In Toronto. I think it's worth driving into the city or all the way to Scarborough for good smoked barbecue especially given the price - it sucks to spend a significant amount of money to be utterly disappointed. I wouldn't visit this place again nor recommend it to friends and colleagues.
