This is a great place to do work if, like me, you live in an apartment or have your tools in storage It's also great if you want to do a project but don't have a lathe or plainer or joiner (or forge). It's particularly great if you want to put lettering on your walls as you can print them out on the vinyl cutter and not pay nearly as much! The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is that the owner isn't always on time. Patience is your friend in that case!

Tried this place out for the first time with my teen daughter making coffins for Halloween. So much fun and easy to do. Great price. So many interesting classes! Me and my husband are going back to make crib boards. Great family run business. Very friendly and helpful

I would be careful going here. On one hand, my mother-in-law registered, attended, and had a great experience. However, I booked with this guy and he had to cancel on us due to an injury. We had already paid a deposit for materials (which was a mistake, never pay ahead). When I contacted him for a refund, he never responded to me. I contacted him again via email with no response. The phone number I found for him was out of service. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and they also were unable to get a response from him. I am writing this because I checked google reviews after going through this and found I am not alone in this expereince. I am sure he is gifted and great at this work, but many people have been shafted with money and this is quite concerning to me. Find someone else to support, don't support a guy who can't be honest and steals people's money.

Took my money and ran!!! Paid for my 2 brothers and I up front. Then whenever I tried to book he would reply right away till I mentioned we were already paid up, then he would stop replying. I'm just glad I only paid for the 3 of us and the other people who wanted to join us hadn't paid yet. I actually cancelled my credit card that it was booked with once I read his reviews and realized he does this all the time!

Booked a group for a forging class for September 8th for 8 of us. Paid in full for the class, and then was notified the day before that his materials have not arrived. Which I can understand and is hard if out of his control. Requested refund as to get the 8 of us together is hard. Was told Refund would be in a couple days. Have been attempting to reach out to Will, and always promised a refund but nothing, now there has been no response for the last couple communication attempts. The concept of this business is awesome, but I would recommend that you do not put down a deposit or pay for anything in advance. I will still fight for my refund and still might use the business but nothing will ever be paid for in advance.

Such a great place for DIYers who don't have their own shop. As well as for beginners who wanna try out woodworking and or metalworking. Experienced and friendly staff is there to help you out on the way of quick and safe learning process. All sort of different tools make the possibilities of building limitless. Highly recommend, come check it out!

Amazing Place! The owners are super nice too. Highly recommend! Updated: September 2018. Have been waiting for a refund since February. I originally loved this place. A great small family run business. But after trying to receive a refund( because they could not complete my project due the CNC machine being down)for nearly 6 months my mood has soured. I have contacted the owner via email and phone calls at least a dozen times. Still no refund. I am out 200.

The DIY workshop owned and operated by Will Steed is closed. His Facebook posts state that it is only temporary but I have lost all faith in this man. I have about 150 worth of wood in the shop and in spite of Will Steed’s promises, I have not been given access to the shop to recover what is rightfully mine. He also owes me a refund for work he did not do and a partial refund for my February membership fee. I took this man at his word and I was very wrong. I am taking formal legal action through small claims court.
