To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how I feel about my experience with The Captain's Boil. I ordered delivery, so taking that into consideration. First observation, the menu on delivery apps seems a bit different than the in-restaurant menu, and some options like lobster and crab are not offered. I ordered a combo of shrimp and mussels in the Captain's Boil sauce, and added sides. My food was still piping hot when it got to me and smelled amazing when I got setup and opened the bag. The mussels were great - huge, cooked well and no grit. The shrimp also were huge; I would caution anyone who's never eaten seafood before that these are served with the head and shell on, so there is some work involved in getting the meat out. Also, the shrimp were not deveined, which I know is an issue for some people. My shrimp were a little overcooked, though I more blame that on delivery and I don't think this would be an issue if you dine in. The Captain's Boil seasoning was great and like other reviews have mentioned, definitely dip your seafood into the sauce once it's been removed from the shell. I got corn and sausage for sides, which were great, other than I found the sausage that made it's way to the bottom of the bag got very salty. Also something that probably wouldn't be an issue dining in. No, this isn't a cheap meal - seafood is expensive. I felt that for the price of the selection of 2 seafood options that was offered, it would have been nice if one side was included. For the prices you pay to add sides, getting one small chunk of corn was disappointing. You get a good size portion of sausage, but for 9 I don't know if I would order it again. Worth a try if you enjoy seafood, would strongly advise to dine in.

I am no seafood fan, neither is my mother, but my father and my girlfriend love seafood, they highly enjoy Captain's Boil and for me and my mother there is non seafood items as well so we aren't left out. we love the food, the fast delivery, and the wonderful staff. even during times like these they are working hard and always helpful when I needed a extra pair of plastic gloves in my to go bag. while I haven't tried the seafood, my girl friend is always asked to bring some of it to her friends and sisters place when we are near and they always enjoy it too!

If you love seafood, check this place out! I had the snow crab, with the captains boil seasoning, it was delicious! Good range of spice level to satisfy your whole group. Fun way to eat, with your food coming in bags, paper on the tables, and bibs and gloves to keep yourself clean. Wouldn’t recommend for people who don’t like seafood or have any seafood allergies as apparently it is all cooked in the same water, and the chicken tastes fishy.

It was far better the last time I was here, which was last year. I honestly wish I had just left it like that. The service was poor, food portions were small. It was busy, so I don't know if that was the reason? I recommended it to so many friends. we were three families that came to eat , one family did not get their complete order. It was so disorganized, a far cry from the first time just I and hubby came . I don't think I'll make the trip to the captains boil again. Absolutely awful. Corn was old and overcooked, rice was bland with no flavour at all. Crab was dirty and still had parts of the bladder on it. Shrimp was dissolving in my hands trying to peel it, it was so overcooked. One of my shrimps was rotten. They charged 8 dollars for 3 small slices of garlic toast. The prices were insane. Take a wide berth far far away from this shipwreck. The waitress was nice though

The crab legs in the original captain's sauce was fantastic. Loved every bite. 10/10 would do again.
