I brought my cello here for a seam and block crack repair. The luthiers here are knowledgeable and they really take time to teach you about the repair process. Though it does take a while for them to get their instrument back to you, they are a small local business that does a fantastic job.

I came to his shop asking for some help setting up a new rebec (3 stringed medieval violin, there are no surviving ones that I know of, I do 14th century living history). The owner Eric had not set one of these up before because it is a very unusual instrument. He took time to talk with me about the instrument, baroque style, showed me how to tie gut strings, bow holds, we talked about the history of it, and he did research of his own. After setting up the rebec he charged me only 20 for shaping the bridge. I offered to pay him an hourly rate because of the time he took with me along with the experience and knowledge he shared, but he refused. If you are looking for a skilled luthier I would recommend this shop to anyone.
I had quite a great experience visiting this shop. As a potential beginner violin player, the advice they gave me is exactly what I needed. They don't push sales upon you; it was more of an educational process which is the way I do business myself so I could instantly relate. Will definitely be doing business with them and looking into lessons!
We had an amazing experience. The owner was extremely patient and was not pushy at all. He made us very comfortable and really wanted us to have the best violin we could afford, and was willing to answer all of our questions and concerns. There is also a great collection of good stringed instruments and accessories.
The owner door dinged my buddy's car while we were sitting in it and said \it's ok it's just a car\ no respect.
