I've been there a couple times and recently got take out for new year's eve and have never been disappointed. Their food is always delicious and well prepared and the menu has a lot of different flavour profiles with options for different diets. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and the staff have always been great. Their beer and cocktails selection are large enough to give variety but not too big that you feel like you can't decide.

We had an awesome experience at the Malt & Mortar. My Farrow Salad with smoked tofu was amazing. Our server Jayde was spectacular at her job. My companions' meals had some issues, and she dealt with it with patience and in a timely manner, even taking it off of their bill when getting new rice didn't quite make their meal right. She made fantastic drink recommendations and was a delight everytime she came to our table. I hope her manager gives her commendations for how well she carries out her job. We were also incredibly impressed by how effectively this restaurant followed protocols to protect everyone. This is the only establishment I have visited throughout the entire pandemic which cleans machines between users. Overall, well-done!!
Our server was amazing. Super personable and attentive to our needs. All of the food was excellent. Well proportioned for the price. She told us we would not be disappointed. She was not wrong. Help this place out during covid times. We dont want them to close. You will be blown away by the food and customer service.

Right in the heart of Strathcona. This was my favourite place while visiting from NZ. Only downside is that it can get quite loud which means you're shouting at the waiter I had the Korean style crispy chicken burger with caesar salad Longshadow IPA. Food and service was 5 stars, served by Brookley. PSA: Watch the Longshadow, I was feeling pretty festive after 2 pints!
