I was extremely disappointed in this place. My boyfriend suffers from PTSD, which has progressively gotten worse over the past few weeks. I came across \Firefly\ website, where I did some research on each counsellor. I won't share names, because I'm not here for that. I just wanted to share our experience. To keep it short and sweet, my. boyfriend said he left the session feeling worse than when he started, Which is completely heart breaking considering I was really looking forward to him being able to get some things off his chest, and support. Which was the opposite. She was very judgemental, and told him she doesn't think he wants to change, and that was that. Left him feeling hopeless, which is alarming for me because mental health should be respected. He deserves to feel heard, and safe to do so. Especially in a professional setting. I understand sometimes people just aren't a good fit, but in a professional setting, there is expectations, and for him to feel this disheartened on the FIRST session is completely un-acceptable. I hope she does some serious reviewing so no one else walks into that type of \support\ Just a fair warning before you spend 100.

Mona is the best! She's understanding and caring, but will also give you some tough love when you need it. As my first therapist, I was a little nervous, but Mona is incredibly easy to talk to and I trusted her right away. I know we can discuss anything without judgement. She asks for feedback as to how she can help you better, and follows through with your suggestions. She's also available by text/phone between appointments, and checks in often to make sure you're doing alright. Also, the Firefly office itself is comfortable and welcoming. It's never stuffy or intimidating, and has a very calming ambiance. Overall, I highly recommend both Firefly and Mona!

I have been seeing Mona Ullah for just over a year and she has been just wonderful. I initially started to see her to assist with improving myself and she has given me great tools with controlling my emotions and accepting what I can't control in life. She is very personable and nice, as well as very open. I trust her completely and I am so grateful for her and the tools she's provided me with to make my life more healthy.

Mona is amazing! Starting therapy can be uncomfortable sometimes but Mona made me feel very at ease and supported. Also her recommendations on books to read has been very helpful! :)
