Back in the early 1980's, I was sent from the SHU at Millhaven to Sharp's Farm AKA Edmonton Max. Since it was new then, it wasn't like any prison I had seen. They put me in a cell with a solid steel door (like the other joints solitary, of which I had lots of experience) ... I was told this was solitary!! Ha, Ha, it had a bed, real toilet & sink ... and a window!! Honest to God, I could see outside. Seemed more like a motel than a prison. No doubt it has changed a lot but back then, if you had to be in a maximum security prison it was not too bad.
I tried to return my dad but they won't take him back. Something about \his sentence is over\ :(
most exercise Ive had in years....tons of time to work on my jumpshot. Laundry done for you, dont have to cook, who wouldnt love this place....5 Stars!
Upon arrival you are greeted with many men, followed by a check out, also you get a friendly visit from a dog that likes to sniff ya out. Then you get escorted to a room which is very cold. You must provide your own food and drink, that you have very small selection from there convienent vending machines (BTW does not except the new loonies n toonies).
