Edmonton Bible Presbyterian Church is located in Edmonton, Canada on 12229 38 St NW. Edmonton Bible Presbyterian Church is rated 3.6 out of 5 in the category presbyterian church in Canada. We are a congregation of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for sinners. Edmonton: We are located in the city of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada. Although we have evidence that a congregation has existed here since 1947, we were formally incorporated in 1958. Bible: We believe the Bible is the Word of God and our highest authority in matters pertaining to faith and practice. When the Holy Spirit illumines the Word, He directs sinners to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Presbyterian: Our congregation is governed by elders (presbyters). It is wise to be governed by a plurality of elders (Acts 15; Proverbs 11:14). Our beliefs are summarized in the Westminster Standards: the Confession of Faith as well as the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, which all our officers pledge an oath to uphold. Church: The great Head of the Church is the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:23). He gifts each of His congregations with ministers, elders, and deacons (Ephesians 4:7-13) to guard His truth and govern the affairs of the believers that He has purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28), who have been chosen from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-4). Historically, our denomination, the Bible Presbyterian Church (www.bpc.org), was founded in 1938 after ministers had been ejected from the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America for believing and obeying the Word of God. Our congregation belongs to the Great Western Presbytery of the BPC.
