All the good staff that worked here are gone. The place is falling apart. And they proven time and time again to me THEY DO NOT CARE. The front end woman are very kind tho.

One of the better employment programs. I was treated with respect & dignity while I was there & was able to secure employment.

After encountering a lady in distress at an organization I volunteer for, myself and an employee took her to Decsa where one of the outreach workers was able to get her out of a dangerous environment in which was living. This organization has the resources to get woman out of situations that are very uncomfortable. After spending time with this very friendly but very emotional lady the relief and graditude she showed when she was informed they had a safe place to stay was very nice to see. We need more organizations like DECSA.

Best personal growth program in Edmonton that I know of the Transitions Program. Also helps to obtain longterm employment and gets an individual back into school the right way if thats what they need. If your ready to do some personal work and develop your future DECSA is the place to go.

Thinking back on my time at Decsa. I feel that it was unorganized and unprofessional. I only learned things from two people that worked their. However one left cause of the how other staff treated people and the other got fired. The other people who attended the same program I was in were more support than people who worked their. Like one lady who was in my program helped me deal with historical sexual assault because my case manager did not have time. Pretty well all the people I started with never finished. I left there feeling worse about myself than when I started. I tried asking for more help but was turned down. They can't say I never went for my attendance was amazing. But they dug deep got me to open up reopen broken wounds. Said now your done so go do something. I know they do some good for people but people that have had a horrible past of abuse rape You don't offer enough help. For I am still broken and your program helped me stay broken. So why should I be thankful. I wounder how long until you people block me. But I will be heard. I find people who care enough so you will offer more help and support for people like me.
