Came here because of the great reviews, tried the Fish Tikka, Chicken fried rice , and garlic Naan bread dish. It was so good, a good combination plate dinner. I highly recommend the place and fish was cook perfectly. Now I want to go back and very soon to try out the rest of the menu. I want to give it five stars but I still got to try the rest of the menu.
My husband and I visited Darbar Grill today for the first time. We were very pleased with the atmosphere and cleanliness of this restaurant. The owner was friendly and very helpful with our selections and everything we ordered was great! The food was absolutely delicious! We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food and we will definitely be back soon! Once again, the greatest place to eat Indian food is the Darbar Grill! It is the absolute best!
I had purchased Butter Chicken and some other pieces through skip the dishes. Total was about 50 free delivery so not bad. Waited some time it arrived smelled amazing and the naan was absolutely delicious. The reason for four stars was the soup to chicken ratio for the butter chicken. I get it times are tough but I paid 16 for a large container of essentially soup I had counted only 5 small pieces of chicken and about 8 cups of the broth. The ratio was a bit off considering that I paid 16 for what I thought would last me a couple days of chicken. I called the restaurant they were empathetic to my cause and said they would compensate for the order. To my surprise someone from the restaurant came by and apologized for the ratio fiasco and handed me two smaller dishes with a decent portion of chicken and broth. I appreciate their business and the prompt solution. Highly recommended.
My husband and I ate a late lunch here today, after I'd seen a recommendation from a local food blogger. We eat Indian food regularly, and have done so for many years. We started the meal with the stuffed paneer pakora - hot, fresh, flavourful; and an excellent portion. My husband said that the butter chicken was the best he's ever had, and I'd have to agree. We also tried the bhaingan bartha and chicken tikka masala - both were outstanding. The garlic naan we ordered was delicious, and the keema naan was unreal. On top of all that the service from the friendly and welcoming owner was top notch. We drove from the Southside, and it was well worth the trip. I see us being back often.
Absolutely hands down the best butter chicken in Edmonton! Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Highly recommend!

What a lovely little spot! We stumbled on Darbar last night and it was amazing. The food was DELICIOUS. And the owner (I'm assuming) was so sweet to us the whole time. He was great with food recommendations and was very engaging all night. We had a great time and will definitely be back again!
