When I went to Montreal to find a place for my daughter to live we came across this residence as we were walking down the steep hill that leads to the McGill residences. I have to say in a pure strike of luck we found this place, with an unbeatable location literally across the street from the engineering building. Not just the location and the rareness of a modern building in this area, but the fact that the rooms are well lit, clean and the common spaces are well maintained as well as very responsive management leads me to highly recommend this place for students like my daughter who value convenience and comfort vs space. The rent includes all utilities (Wi-Fi, heating, water, Air Conditioning), so budgeting was easy as I knew the total cost upfront and there’s the option to have the unit for just the school year. Thanks Philippe and LP for providing a safe and clean apartment option for the last 20 months, I truly appreciate the friendly attitude and prompt response to any request we had. It made my daughter’s experience much better going into university away from home.

I have lived in this place for 2 years. HERE is my pros and cons for this place Pros: it is very closed to school. I study at McGill. Cons: 1. 1000 per month is a bit expensive for such a little room. 2. Wifi is super slow. And there are no any wifi connection at least few days in a month. Imagine that there is no wifi and outside is -20 degree and you don't want to go out to library but you have to finish your stuff and assignments. Can't accept that. 3. sometimes washroom and kitchen are massy. 4. The refrigerator in the room is noisy. I think 1000 you can still find many good places to live if you don't be that lazy.

I stayed here for 4 months during the 2016 Fall semester. Nice (temporary?) place for McGill students - it's more on-campus than any actual McGill residences (literally right across the street) and only a short walk away from the closest grocery stores. The rooms are small, furnished with ample storage space, a sink, table, chair, bed and mini-fridge. I suggest staying in a single room - otherwise you'll have to share the only mini-fridge with your roommate. The bathrooms and the kitchen are shared among all residents (35 residents tops, 6 bathrooms, 1 kitchen). There is also a comfortable common room, and a laundry room in the basement (industrial washing machines, tumble driers, ironing board, one vacuum cleaner for the residents). Pros: - Close to the McGill campus - Sense of community with other residents (all students) - Kitchen is supplied with basic utensils, pans and pots (though not necessarily as good as new) - Staffed by two very nice people, they're easy to get in touch with in case of issues and they do what they can to improve resident experience. Cons: - Showers have a fairly low pressure and temperature - Shared bathrooms Note: - Internet is only available as WiFi (4Mbps) and is not suitable for online gaming (cuts out for half a second every five minutes)
