I moved to MTL a few years ago and Beta Bloc is one of my favourite things about the city, and I wasn't even a climber really. It's a great spot to learn as there is a big variety in route difficulty, they have fun group lessons, and people are really encouraging as opposed to making you feel like you don't belong if you aren't good. In addition - I've made some amazing friends here (real friends, we hang out beyond climbing), the beer selection is awesome, the staff is super helpful & just fun to chat with, everything is clean & looks new, lots of food options, and prices are very reasonable!

It’s a really cool, clean bouldering gym! Their problems are a little more creative and tougher then average I would say, but If you like the extra challenge, you will love this place. So if you’re looking to get stronger faster, this is the place for you!
Been going for a year, the staff are really nice and the food is good. Would highly recommend. I also took lessons at one point and I got from v1 to v4 in a few months. Used to go 3 times a week and I can’t wait till COVID is over so I can continue to go but I’m 100% going there again
Great bouldering West Island bouldering place. It's large and spacious, and even has some regular space equipment. The chalk dispenser is also pretty nifty if you forgot to buy chalk.
There were great problems and the staff engaged with the climbers a lot, which made for a lively atmosphere and a very nice experience.
