Bad day for seeing anything. Nature can be difficult. Know that before you go. Owner was nice but we ended up paying for a boat ride 170 for a boat ride. I also spoke to a local after he didn't think much if this place

Awesome experience, Lowell is a great guide. Took some serious effort to finally find a Fin Whale.
The captain was very knowledgeable and experienced on the water. He was determined for us to see something and we found two adorable and rare beluga whales that had swam all the way from the arctic - a mother and baby whale. The whales were coming right up to our boat, swimming under and all around us. Very nice people, would go again
Captain was the best!!!! I HIGHLY recommend his tours. He was very proactive with the tour group and so enthusiastic! We saw at least a dozen fin whales! I would post photos but I only took videos
We had an awesome experience on our tour yesterday. We saw five or six fin whales and were able to see them at the surface of the water more than a dozen times. Well worth the money!!
they have tours at 10. 1230,300 and 530, family run operation went on the 1230, Lowell went far and above to make it happen, as you know its never guaranteed that you will see a whale, its all about time, for the first 1:40 we were a complete bust, lowell had tried a route on the 1000 am and nothing happened so he tried a different one.for us. However just as we were going to turn for home, he got a call on the radio, and we were off to deep water, where we saw a large group of pilot whales, that were very close to the boat. Lowell had just enough time to get us out there, give us a solid 15 minutes plus with the whales. He is very knowledgeable, its a family run business. real honest, no b.s, everyone has to wear the yellow raincoats and pants a life vest. Please note it is a platoon boat, so you get close, either dont eat before you go or take a pill if it affects you. Just understand there is no guarantee, but Lowell will do his best
This was our first trip ever, and we are not likely to be back at the East coast soon, therefore we were quite disappointed not to see any whales. The captain was knowledgeable and pleasant, but we would have appreciated some information regarding the conditions and possibility of not seeing whales. As we could have been available at another day/ time. After the trip the captain indicated that the windy conditions may have moved the wild life out of the area. I would have liked to know in advance that this might have happened, or at least been offered a discount to another trip. Several other charters offer a guarantee to see whales.
What an experience! The driver went above and beyond what would be expected to try and make sure we saw some whales. The fist 1.5 hours we were riding from one place to another as he was communicating with others who were also looking for whales. His partner saw some whales with her binoculars from the shore and we went way out to find probably 40 whales doing a grand show for us, some coming very near the boat. We were about 30 minutes late coming back, as the driver wanted to make sure we had the experience. Definitely recommended if you are looking for someone who will do whatever they can to get you a whale show.
