I was originally impressed with Deidre's customer rapport when I worked with her 15 years ago in the restaurant industry. In 2020, I hired her to cater my father's funeral and my experience was disappointing. I experienced late and missing food, and unfulfilled (partial) re-compensation promises. Her words consistently clashed with her actions as her personal relationship issues with an inept baby-daddy took front and center of of this business transaction. Her unresponsiveness to phone calls and tardiness to in-person meetings was distasteful and unprofessional. I consider myself a person to extend others an honorable level of grace in their personal lives, but this experience left me grossed out. Having said that, I take little comfort and vindication in disparaging her reputation with one-star reviews.

If you're thinking of employing this service due to their "affordability," I highly suggest against it. It is not worth it. Though "affordable," the service was abysmal. They were very unprofessional, and the food was adequate (the food pictures they had was not accurate) at best. Not only were they hours late, but we have sufficient evidence that our participants got food poisoning from the food they served. When we brought our concerns and complaints to them, they were ignorant and provided a variety of excuses instead. We understand that issues happen, but it is unacceptable that they refused to be held accountable of their actions.
If I didnt have to leave a star I wouldn't have left one. This catering company is absolutely terrible and I would never ever recommend them to anyone! We had hired them to cater our wedding last year, they showed up 2 hours late and the food was cold. When I requested to be reimbursed for their tardiness they said they absolutely would, but I never received a single refund from them. I chased after them for 5 months for my money and continued getting the run around from them. If you want professional, quality service DO NOT use this catering company. They will disappoint you.
We hired Day by Day catering for our Christmas staff lunch this past December. We were really impressed by the prices and how quickly Deidre had responded to us. However, the day of our staff lunch, she was over an hour late claiming she was in a car accident. Neither here nor there, we were all VERY hungry and excitedly lined up for food. Unfortunately it left much to be desired. There was hardly enough food for 6 people let alone the 13 people we ordered for. The turkey was very dry and our roasted potatoes were actually a boxed scalloped potato which was both disappointing and not nearly enough to feed everyone. Details aside, we reached out to give our feedback to Deidre and she mentioned asking to make it up to us during another lunch event. Fast forward to recently (Valentines day) and she made us a Mexican Taco bar. It was decent and the quantity was MUCH more impressive. She has apologized to us on several occasions regarding our past mishap and has ensured us top priority in the future.
My husband and I ordered from these guys to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and were very happy with their services. Deidre was very responsive and accommodating with my questions and when putting together our menu. Her staff showed up early to set up the buffet but then also helped us finish setting up the bar and bringing in supplies from the vehicles. Dinner arrived, it was hot and fresh, everything was well seasoned and we were very happy with our choices. I would order from here again as they did a great job.
She took all of our deposits and seems to have ran!! She refuses to communicate with us by email, text and phone. We had what seemed to be great communication until closer to our event. We offered her to pay us back on a payment plan but NOTHING!! Financially and emotionally frustrated! If we could give ZERO stars we would. This is just not professional and acceptable!!!
Was my MIL 50th and we decided to have a party for her last minute. We decided to hire a caterer as my partner and I didn’t want to cook. We decided to go with Day by day because we were responded to right away and consistently through the process, the prices were really reasonable and we got a special menu because my sister has a ton of allergies. The food was excellent and the girl that brought it was very good at her job. She was in and out and hardly anyone noticed. All around we were very happy with day by day catering.
She won't respond to any messages I have sent her and does not act professionally when it comes to running a business. My family has been having issues getting ahold of her and we are at the point of wanting a refund for our deposit for the wedding. She won't do this and keeps making excuses as to why. Then she goes on to ignore us. All we want is our deposit back. We have been asking for a month for a refund and have got no responses as to when we can get our deposit back, or even if we can at all. We are now out money for our wedding, which was all cancelled due to COVID. We would like this money back so we can continue to plan with someone who will follow through with their clients!
