I have been a customer of SB the Personal Insurance (now Unifund) company for years. NO LONGER! I have tried for weeks to get through to their office, to no avail. The number rings and rings, then the line hangs up. I had to go through the Johnson Insurance claims number and their rep patched me through to Unifund. I have decided to cancel my policy with Unifund and they are charging me a 116 cancellation fee. The nerve!!! If I could give LESS THAN 1 STAR, I certainly would.

If I could give negative numbers I would. I had insurance from ScotiaLife Financial The Personal and it was great. Then the Scotialife Financial went with Unifund so I decided I would not renew with Unifund. I cancelled my policy on Aug 6 2019 ( renewal was Oct 1 2019). I called numerous times to verify it was cancelled effective Oct 1. I was concerned when I saw papers coming in the mail for my banking information and wanting me sign to renew my house insurance. I called Unifund again . On Oct 1 2019, Unifund called me and told me they were taking a payment out of my account on Oct 5 for 87.18 when I had cancelled and chose not to renew with Unifund back in Aug 2019. I am not sure where and how they got the authorization to go into my account and take out the money when I didn't sign anything or give any banking information to Unifund. very scary! Stay clear of Scotialife Financial Unifund. Now I am dealing with a banking mess and is very stressful.

Unifund assurance suits your needs perfectly! Not only will they make you drop off your vehicle for an appointment, they will not tell you that your appointment is changed! They will allow you to leave your vehicle for two days before you find out from your own insurance company, that this companies agent's voicemail message says that she is on vacation for multiple weeks! And she found no one to cover your account when she's leaving and your vehicle is not fit for the road! This is awesome, because its the perfect opportunity to take a cab instead of driving the vehicle you're paying for! What an organized establishment!
