The emergency chairs suck! Please incorporate a variety of width sizes. With cane I had to stand all through Triage without an offer of another chair. My legs were the issue with possible infection for my visit to emerge. A security staff, after inquiring, was helpful quickly finding and swaping out a chair for waiting area cubicle. I've seen other people with similar discomforts. After 3 hours waiting too long agitating symptoms needing to lie down I told triage and left to rest in my car. I followed up with 811 and explained resting in car still in Emergency accessible parking. I was told a nurse will call back in an hour. I trust this will happen Online Reviews also suck to issue from mobile phone

Worst service waiting for doctor for approx 2hours around 2am for heart patient and still not even seen the doctor after 2hours. The next day it’s the same waiting from 3hours and still the doctor is busy. Don’t even give one star
This use to be place to go when you needed help in the 90s. I went to emergency yesterday and after that experience I would die before going back to that hospital. Except for the intact person in emergency there is nothing but a bunch of people that are employed there that are there in attendance only. The nice intact worker took blood, cardiogram and urine sample almost immediately as she stated hopefully this would speed things up. I sat there for over 2 hours only to be taken 12 feet into another room to wait again. After anothing 2 hours of watching six people do the work of 2 and the gentleman beside me said he was there since 11 the night before, I had to leave. This is not a healthy environment. All the workers and co workers seem to do is hug each other or as they stated that the wanted some loving. In the 2 hours I was there 4 out of 6 workers did maybe and I'm being generous 10 mins work. Oh by the way according to what they stated some of those people were on overtime. Overtime, I find this funny, spying them good money and for what. I guess Dartmouth general will continue to have, and deserve to have the reputation, of the worst service in the province of Nova Scotia. I'm not saying all workers there are terrible, but the ones, and they know who they are, should watch out karma is a b........
ER Staff need to take a refresher on geriatrics! They do not know how to treat the elderly with respect and they lack compassion! My very elderly Mom was brought to ER by EMS (who were great), but clearly the staff don't care or even pretend to care about anyone. They act very immature and seemed to get flustered just trying to deal with simple tasks. Apparently a nurse can't even give a wet cloth to someone as it "isn't their job as an ER nurse". I hope to never have to deal with them again!!
