We serve the occupational health market, getting workers back to work and off of short term and/or long term disability. We work tirelessly with OT's, Physiotherapists, Ergonomists, and other health professionals to achieve this. We are all individuals, and no one chair off the shelf will suit everybody. I don't normally give reviews for products or companies, but in this case I just had to. Like everyone else in the world I was forced to work from home during the pandemic. I borrowed a chair from work since my home chair was less than ideal. But then I switched jobs and my new job gives me the opportunity to work from home even after the pandemic is over. So instead of asking my new work for a chair I decided I should just get one for myself. I'm a tall person so wanted to get something that would fit me well. After many hours of googling and reading reviews I couldn't find anything that seemed to make sense. Then I decided that looking at chairs from big corporations around the world didn't make sense with how I like to shop anyway. My wife and I try to buy local whenever possible. This lead me to google for Canadian office chair manufacturers. To my surprise a little company in Dartmouth NS, in my neighbouring province made office chairs. There isn't much about them anywhere so I contacted them asking about what they would recommend for a tall person and they suggested the Dolphin series and they gave me a quote. At first I thought it was out of my price range, but then after much consideration I decided that if they are built as well as they say they are it would last me the rest of my working life and I wouldn't be buying a chair every few years from the big box stores. I took the leap and contacted them again. They asked me a few more details and tweaked the quote a bit and then I ordered one. They said it would take 3 weeks to arrive and it came almost exactly 3 weeks after ordering. I really enjoy it thus far, except the arm rests don't go low enough for my gorilla arms. I contacted them again about it and they are mailing me some spacers and longer bolts to allow me to lower the arm rests so I don't get a sore neck. Great product and great customer service. This is a woman owned phenomenal business! If you sit for your job, you would be wise to contact these people to invest in your health. They make the BEST chairs on the market with all the possible adjustments and offer amazing customer service! I purchased a chair from them 19 years ago and it's still like brand new. I just had them reupholster it to match my new office.

As a result of a pinched nerve in my neck, I was referred to a physiotherapist. It was determined that because I spend long hours on the computer, that I should consider the purchase of an ergonomic chair. The occupational therapist recommended Chairs Limited. I contacted Chairs Limited by phone, but was politely informed that the company would not sell me a chair unless they were satisfied that it would meet my needs. That meant a 3.5 hour drive to Halifax and back, BUT I got a chair that was suitable for my size, weight, and long hours at the computer. I was assisted in the selection of the appropriate customized ergonomic chair by the President of Chairs Limited herself. I was promised that it would be built and delivered in two weeks, but I received it in one week to the day from my \fitting.\ The quality is outstanding. The service was outstanding. The price, for what you get, is VERY reasonable. The pain that used to come on while sitting at my computer is now history. Chairs Limited ensured that I got a chair that was customized to my physique, and not one to which I would have to adapt. I do not hesitate at all to recommend Chairs Limited to anyone who has need of an awesome ergonomic chair customized to your physique and your tastes in terms of upholstery, arms, castors, etc. I am a completely satisfied customer. They are absolutely the best in the business and, from my perspective, being a Nova Scotia resident, it was so great to be able to support an outstanding business in my own province.
