Depends on when you hit it but it can really be a fun spot. The Engineering dept has their own beer on tap and it's pretty good. Lots of room for large groups. Cozy setting. Off the beaten path.
We hosted a 40th birthday surprise party for my wife on Saturday November 16. The staff were great leading up the event helping us plan. The food was great, and the folks working the night of the event were fantastic. They were patient with us at closing time (some of our guests were a bit slow to leave). A great place to hold a party, they waive the fee if you buy more than 500 in drinks. Much better than jamming a bunch of people into your house. We can't say enough great things.
Such a cozy little spot. Good beer, good staff. The kitchen hours are a little weird, but otherwise it's a fantastic spot for a beer and a chat. It's also acceptable to go solo to read a book or catch up on some school work.
Perfect spot for a pint and sandwich between or after classes! Good for studying if you miss the lunch rush too.
A fantastic venue. The food was amazing. There was a reasonable selection of beer. The servers are very helpful. I had a function here it ran so smoothly. The staff were very helpful from the start to finish. The prices were good. The entire event went without a single issue. The manager was very supportive and patient. I would not hesitate recomend this place for a quiet drink or a massive event. There are a number of rooms available. We used the downstairs pub. It had a great atmosphere.
Great spot on campus for a quick bite - lots of veg and non-veg options, decent beer on tap, and hot coffee. For those unfamiliar, the pub is in the basement of the building and is my favourite haunt, but there is also a restaurant upstairs on the main floor (also casually referred to as the university club, I don't know the true name differences between the two).
Always friendly service. Top it off would be a couple of tables outside.
