I live on the East end of St. John's and had never used Custom Edge in the past. We were there because of a tournament in the Paradise Arena and my son needed his skates sharpened. The guy there new my son was having issues with his skates as soon as he looked at the skates. He took the time to explain what was happening and what needed to be done to correct the issues. I can honestly say that I thought skate sharpening was the same everywhere. I was totally wrong and when my son finished his game he told me that he really enjoyed the skate sharpening. I will be driving to Paradise to get his skates sharpened from hear on out. Great skate sharpening and great service.

I drove from the east end of the Avalon to get a pair of figure skates sharpened. I was worried about finding someone that could do a good on the skates. I left relieved that the person sharpening the skates knew more about the blades then me. These guys have great service, lots of knowledge and a quick turn around time. What more could you ask for?
I was having trouble with my skates (blades) for awhile and a friend of mine suggested I try Custom Edge as he always use them. I brought my skates in and told them the trouble I was having and they told me what was wrong and what needed to be done to correct the issue. I decided to try what they recommended and all I can say is what a difference in my game. I can honestly say I will not be going anywhere else for my skate sharpening, or skate profiling. It was recommended to me to try this place out. I had my skates profiled and sharpened and all I can say is wow. What a difference it made to my game. On top of the great profiling and sharpening job their customer service is great as well. They answered all my questions that I had about profiling and sharpening and made recommendations that I followed and was great. I usually don’t make recommendations but I felt I had to in this case. Keep up the great job and great service.
I was looking for a reputable skate sharpener when I first came to the St. John's area last year, and Custom Edge was mentioned to me. I tried several others in the area as well, but once I came to these guys I was amazed with their knowledge and professionalism. They explained everything to me with regards to skate sharpening and profiling. If you want a top notch job done on your skates then you have to see these guys. They also repair skates as well which is a bonus! I won't let anyone else touch my skates only these guys.
I have a pair of Graf’s that the blades were nearly non-existent on. I had tried for just over a year to find a replacement set of blades. Had been to “Play It Again” three times and talked to the owner twice. Each time he said he would call me back because their rep was coming in. That was a year ago. Tried SportsCraft and got no further, among other department stores as well. I had my skates sharpened at “Custom Edge” and one of the guys said, “here’s a card to contact our owner. You need new blades, and our owner will get them for you.” Emailed, and received an answer within 1 minute. He asked my blade holder size, and he said “I’ll have them in a week.” Then he realized he had a pair actually in his shop. Other stores turned me away or didn’t return calls, “Custom Edge” had blades for me in 7 minutes, literally. Had them installed and sharpened on the same night. 5 stars, no question! Cheers!
Had my skates profiled and sharpened by these guys and all I can say is wow. What a difference in my edges. I have much more confidence in my edges now after visiting these guys. I won't go anywhere else, and they are very hopeful and knowledgeable as well. They take the time and explain things to you. Keep up the great work!
Custom Edge is a great spot to have your skates taken care of. I was have no trouble with my skates and was told to try Custom Edge. They fixed the issues I was having and answered all my questions. If you haven’t tried custom Edge you really should.
