Little bit of a wait but that's expected with having to practice Covid restrictions. All of the staff was great. Food and drinks were delicious. It was our first time there and we'll definitely go again!

I took my 99 year-old Grandmother there. They were very accommodating to her needs. They even gave her a half size meal, although that was not on the menu. The food is delicious. Thank you ladies, you made our day perfect.
We have been to this great pub 3 times now and sampled different dishes each time. Without exception they have all been delicious, we highly recommend it. The service is excellent and everything arrives quickly, even when they are completely full for lunch like yesterday. Prices are reasonable and the grounds around the pub are lovely, we can't wait to go in the spring & summer when we can sit outside in the garden.
Aesthetically it is an absolute delight. I had the crow and gate beef burger with potato salad and Caesar salad (you have a choice of two). The burger was delicious... the bun was perfect. I was not a fan of the potato salad. Very dill-y. My sister enjoyed her shrimp sandwich. It had a generous portion of shrimp. The soup comes in a literal cup. Very cute. The beef dip was decent... but it could have been improved with caramalized onions. The lemonade was quite tarte. They have a great selection of beers.
Excellent old authentic pub. Great service and great food and drink! Beautiful grounds. Cozy fireplaces. Would go back.
