This office has such a lovely, caring, and nurturing staff. Cornerstone Community and Family Services has directed many of our guests to Service Ability for training and have always heard great reports from them. We’ve seen a number of guests gain the tools and confidence to obtain employment. I have also had the privilege of visiting and participating in the classroom and have found it to be very welcoming, friendly, uplifting, and encouraging.

This program is very helpful if you have been out of work, or if you are for some reason, at a dead end in your job or career. It was the most encouraging, enlightening, and was most helpful in getting me back on track in being employed again. When I started the course last April 2019, I had been out of work for about 18 years due to two head injuries I sustained. One in December 99, the other in June 2002. I have been on disability since 2001. Since graduating from Service Ability I enrolled in college taking Health Care Assistant Program and recently just graduated from that. My new career is starting this June 2019. If it wasn't for this course at service ability and the excellent instructors there encouragement and skills they teach I'm not sure if I would have ever been confident enough to pursue employment or furthering my education. It was very inspiring and built my confidence back up and got me back on track. It has changed my life and I am so grateful for the awesome staff at the courtenay office. I am also going to be enrolling back in college this fall to become an LPN licensed practical nurse. I owe it all to the helpful course at service ability and the awesome ladies that work there. Thank you Service Ability and the staff in the courtenay office.
