Recently attended a first aid course here and while I was happy with the facility, covid precautions that were in place, and the registration process I have to give Coulee Creek a lower rating due to the instructor. He was very unprofessional - both in attitude and dress. I have to agree with an earlier review, it looked as if he had just rolled out of bed and was completely unprepared for the day. While teaching he would repeatedly get distracted by his own personal stories, and I found a lot of the information shared wasn’t even relevant to the course. After spending two full days with this instructor I do not feel prepared at all. I would advise people to look else where until the company brings in a more capable instructor.

Awesome place to take safety courses. I took my first aid there and it was a good experience. Nate was very knowledgeable and made the normaly dry and boring first aid class pretty good to take. Also their new building is pretty professional looking.

Ok. So the course is supposed to start at 815 but because we didn't have everyone there on time Nate waited until 9 to start the class. He was disorganized and seemed a little disheveled, almost like he himself had just woken up. Most of the class sat there listening to him simply read from the course manual directly for 2.5 hours until the first break at like 1030. The classroom is big enough for 30 students but they decided to cram all the seats into one corner of the room and make us all squeeze in together making the area as uncomfortable as possible. He started off by saying he'd do introductions but just carries on about himself for a while, making sure to plug his own side business of DJing parties and event planning. If you ask me, that's pretty unprofessional. The way that they decide to lay out their building is super confusing. Instead of making one the rooms with a few windows a class, they jam the classroom in a dungeon like room with no windows. Like we were in a Jehovah witness church. I definitely would book my courses somewhere else next time but I don't think there is much choice in Peace River, unfortunately.
