This school doesn’t seem to pay attention to who they hire. My niece goes to this school and her teacher uses abusive punishments. Excluding children from activities because they made a mistake and misbehaved? Yet these are 6 and 7 year olds. Having them sit and watch other classmates play and make them feel excluded and embarrassed? And not even for a “time out,” they are totally excluded. We picked her up the other day and a girl even younger than her was crying because she was heart broken about it. My niece has attention problems and instead of being patient with her they took her chair, then her desk and told her she’d be eating her lunch on the floor the next day. That is a completely inappropriate way to treat a child. I wouldn’t recommend anyone let’s their children go to this school that allows teachers to treat innocent children this way. I grew up in a strict household so I am no stranger to discipline, but a teacher has absolutely no right to treat students this way.

I remember the first day that I was sent home with my first ever homework assignment from this school, many many years ago. I didn't know how to tackle this spelling assignment on my own so I asked my old man to help me. For the next 15 to 20 minutes he slapped me upside the head for every wrong letter I voiced. Needless to say to many slaps to head from other similar homework assignments caused me not to do homework for which my teachers sent me home with letters explaining to my parents that I was not doing my homework. In return I received a belting from my old man and more homework supervision and more slaps upside the head. On parent teacher nights I received additional beatings for what I do not know. After graduating? from this school. I attended William G. Davis school where I received the strap for coming late to school and on parent teachers night I received the obligatory beatings when my parents returned. Now you teachers know. It's not always the fault of the student. Thank you for making me the loser I am today. In closing I have no fond memories of either one of these schools.
