Absolutely terrible service. The woman dispatcher that works at night is the worst customer service rep I have ever dealt with. Why she has not been fired yet is beyond me, I suspect she is protected by the union. Of all of the different police forces operating in Cornwall this department is definitely the worst. I think the other reviews on here reflect this is the general opinion of most of our community. You would think an organization who’s exclusive responsibility is to accommodate the community would actually do so. It’s good to know where our tax dollars are being wasted. Not to mention all of the misconduct tolerated by it’s officers such as the recent officer hiding that he was driving without a license or the other with a DUI. They should hope that their service contracts do not come under review soon as with all the attention on police irresponsibility in the media lately Cornwall’s department would top the list in needing reform.

I called the police to report a noise complaint tonight. The lady dispatcher first corrected me that it was not a noise complaint but a disturbance, why it mattered to correct me is beyond me, and that there's something called \police priority\ and that my call will be taken care of last. I told her I was aware of this. I asked her how do I go about getting this to stop, should I take a video so the police can see how bad it is? She told me that I'd have to give my information to the police and that people don't usually like doing that and it also requires paperwork. I told her that she was discouraging me to even want to call the police. I told her that if tonight didn't stop them that I would videotape it next time. She said ok bye. She made me feel bad for calling the police. That's a terrible feeling and should never be treated that way. People call the police to refrain from a situation happening. She made the whole thing feel wrong. About 20 mintues after I called the police, the same dispatcher called me back and left a voicemail saying that no one else has called to make a complaint so she was going to cancel the call and if I hear anything more to call again. What? Who asked her to cancel a call to the police that I made for assistance? So not only did she fail at her job on the phone with me by trying to deter me from calling for assistance in the first place but then also calls me to tell me that she cancelled my call. So I don't matter? Well I'll tell you that she certainly succeeded at putting a very bad taste in my mouth. Who wants to call the police when that's how you're treated by the dispatcher? I have saved the voicemail she left on my phone cancelling my call. Shame on her professionalism. No wonder why people end up dealing with it themselves and then the police end up having to come out anyway but for a much more serious situation. Evidently trying to be safe and preventative doesn't matter to some of them.

Rude and condescending.

did anyone notice that the chief of police in Cornwall who handles less than 100 officers makes 245,000 yet the chief of the OPP makes 275,000 for handling over 6000 officers? Something seems wrong with these salaries.

I was threatened by an officer to be arrested for smoking legal weed on legalization day.
