Canada's bottle deposit refund is the number one in the world. It is a good system for the environment and I hope it will be introduced in our country. The deposit for 10 cans, water bottles and beverage boxes is 1 In Korea, my country, there are deposits for soju and beer bottles, but most of them are collected separately. Few people try to get their deposit back. Canada's deposit refund culture is one of the best cultures to be imitated.

This recycling depot was my go-to since I moved to the Tri-Cities area early 2017. Never once did I experience any issues nor hassles with its service and employees. Today, however, I was berated and embarrassed by one of its employees (a younger man in a black Adidas cap and a blue apron) for accidentally not yielding to signage and mistakenly placing one white foam egg carton into the wrong container (the container for other white foam packaging). While I understand they need to administer and regulate the contents that go into their containers and doing so might be stressful and difficult, they should not yell at customers in order to educate them about policies. There is no need for attitude and sass. Regrettably, I will never patronize this establishment again.
Worst return-it I have ever been too. They had the express area taped off so I asked where it was, I was yelled at. While recycling items that are taken at the Queensborough location I was told they do not take that plastic. I ask where to take it and I was yelled at to get out. Still haven't been credited for my express returns either. Never go here!! It is filthy, no wash station, the staff are beyond rude!!
Terrible experience the other day... I have been trying to return a difficult type of beverage container, while reaching out to Return It and being told any depot can take the product, I was rudely refused and told not here. I was kicked out of depot and my bottles moved to the curb. Hit up the location on Lougheed! They were much friendlier and very helpful!
Positives: large, open space with lots of room between tables, multiple carts, clean tables, fast tellers. Negatives: excessively sticky floor, not every table has a lid bucket so I left my lids on (they didn't complain though), I had to go looking for trays, no posters with separation guidelines.
