This was a difficult two star to give. First of all, I entirely agree with the vision and mission of coop coco, like the ethics and the effort that is put into provided customers with a wide range of clean sourced, organic products. However, my experience as a customer was rather bad. It took 5 weeks for my order to make it to me, with the last five days being rather uncertain because my order was marked as \completed\ but there was no way for me to track the package. I live in an apartment so had the manager of the building not been at home when the products arrived, it would have been impossible for me to know where the package were n case I had to pick it up....after five weeks. I understand covid conditions make everything more difficult for small businesses but I work at a small Biotech company and honesty, in 5 weeks we are able to manufacture thousands of our product and ship it, and it's only four of us. I think it might be a matter of organization and keeping proper track of inventory. People are here to respect and support this business, make sure you also respect your costumers by making a couple managerial changes so that everything runs smoothly

Beware! I bought this rose hydrosol at the end of January. I intentionally didn't open it until about a month ago since I wanted to buy a microbial test kit and test out some preservatives so I'd be ready to preserve it right away after first testing it for microbes. I was shocked to see the result below that indicates that it contains 10,000 bacteria per millilitre!! It looks and smells fine. This is incredibly dangerous, especially when you consider that many spray hydrosols on their face and the likelihood is high that it could get into the eyes and some will even drink them. I contacted Coop Coco and offered to mail it back to them. They refused to do anything about it since I was past the 7 day limit for returning hydrosols. After telling them I was going to write a review, they said that when social distancing restrictions are lifted, I could bring it in for them to test. I'm really not impressed. They should be doing a recall on this batch of hydrosol and giving everyone a refund, not just me. I wouldn't trust any of their hydrosols. Besides this, all the oils and butters I bought had the same expiry date so they're obviously not going by the actual date that the oil or butter was extracted.
I am so grateful to be able to order products locally in Québec, I live far East out in Côte-Nord and they have always been lovely and accommodating. It's really satisfying knowing the essential oil I order come from right here in the province. Any issues I've had the customer service has been superb, they have sent me everything I need and if there were any damaged products I either received a replacement or refund without issue, I'm really impressed. I also appreciate that I can order in French or English and they offer memberships so I can save overtime. If it weren't for the hardworking staff who have persevered throughout the pandemic, my baby wouldn't have her gentle soap, I wouldn't have my body butter and a chance to start a home-based business. I look forward to when I can see the shop in person and meet the lovely staff who I've grown fond of through my communications with them. You won't be disappointed and I encourage you to support local Canadian businesses. Thanks Coop Coco!
