My daughter had spine surgery. She was scheduled to be in hospital for 4 days, on the third day I realized there was no way I was going to transfer her from a wheelchair at the hospital entrance into my car, that could have been a disaster. I searched online and came to MedicVan. Bonnie was simply great; I can’t thank her enough! The bed-to-bed transfer was carried out by caring professional transport staff. I highly recommend them. Excellent. The 2 gentlemen that came to help take my 91 year old father to the hospital were very professional and friendly. The lady, at the dispatch, was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend their services to others and use them again. Thank you. Jan. 19, 2021 - I just received a receipt via email and there is a discrepancy with the amount I was charged. I will update my review based on the outcome of my discussion with them. Jan. 22, 2021 - I just spoke with Sunny. As other reviewer's have posted, she is a very nice, kind, and understanding person. The matter has been fully resolved. My original review of MedicVan and its employees stands. If I could give 6 stars, I would. They are amazing, respectful, professional, kind, friendly and helpful. I needed to arrange for ambulance to bring my 95yr old mom home from hospital back to the retirement home. Because of Covid I couldn't go to emergency and am not allowed in the home. Plus I wanted mom to be comfortable driving back. Mom hadn't been feeling well ast night and nurses at the home suggested she go to hospital to be assessed. They arranged for ambulance to take her. The hospital called me at 6am to let me know they were discharging her from emergency. She had a bladder infection and given antibiotics. I called ambulance service hospital provided and they said they couldn't pick her up until 3pm. I started searching for other ambulance service companies and most said they wouldn't be able to pick her up till 6pm or later. I then called MedicVan and spoke with Sunny who confirmed they could pick her up by 8am. I was a bit nervous as I didn't know this company and concerned for mom as I couldn't be with her. The supervisor from the home called me at 8:40am and told me mom safe and sound back in her room. I told the supervisor my challenge arranging ambulance and how I was concerned and she lessened any worries I had telling me the paramedics who brought her were very nice and caring people. This was a huge relief and I am very appreciative and grateful to have found MedicVan. I called Sunny back to thank her and told her I am keeping their number for future reference. After today I would not call anyone else but MedicVan.
Excellent services both in office and out. The price is was reasonable and far cheaper than other ambulance transportation services we have used in the past. The service was needed for my teenage son who is severely autistic. The secretary was very understanding to our situation and incredibly helpful and even contacted us an additional time to help us better with managing the time-frames so that we arrived exactly when we needed to be there for our appointment at Sick Kids Hospital. They handled everything from start to finish and the exceptional service was honestly the best experience we have ever had when needed help for stretcher transportation. The 2 gentlemen that picked us up arrived early and both were extremely professional and very kind. The ambulance was immaculate and comfortable. They got us to our appointment safely in Monday morning heavy traffic and we arrived on time without feeling rushed through the registration process. They stayed with us during our visit and my son was handled with extreme care and compassion. I highly recommend them and will absolutely be using their services again if required. Thank you again so much to the people that work here and have made our experience much easier for us during such a difficult and stressful time. Stephanie
Medic Van has provided great service in transporting my father back and forth for visits to the hospital. He suffered a major stroke a few years ago and has to be transferred with a lot of care. I also appreciate that their charges are consistent - I experienced billing issues with another service provider who charged for additional “waiting time” even though they were the ones who were late.
