I wasted my time and money filing a legitimate complaint with the COTBC. That complaint is backed by a mountain of hard, physical evidence to prove through. My complaint was against a WorkSafeBC occupational therapist who ripped my reattached finger out of it's socket, as well as causing other serious damage; and then refused to call either a staff doctor or 911 to provide medical assistance. An alleged coverup in my opinion. Ultimately, this self regulating college refused to finish investigating my complaint. Stating that they had discovered that the individual in question was not a member of the COTBC at the time of the incident, and therefore would not be investigated. Membership in the COTBC is mandatory for all occupational therapists in order for them to lawfully operate in BC. I have copies of the original complaint, supporting documentation, and the COTBC's responses. An absolute betrayal of the public's trust in my opinion.
