Yesterday they finally announced guidelines for dental providers to resume care after weeks of anticipation. Then they amend the most important part of the document on protective equipment within a few hours - what a joke. It's probably the least helpful guidance document they could have provided. All dental providers are asking each other how to interpret the document and what to do. Simple clarity would have been helpful. The public will pay the price by not having consistent access to dental care. There needs to be some transparency and accountability.

I wish we could give negative 5 stars. I had countless numbers of documents and reports from many expert dentists and specialists. I went to a dentist which ruined my health for the rest of my life. I am a professional artist and since the dentist caused so many damages to my health I can not work and focus on my personal life. For more than 3 years since this incident, half of my face is numb. I lost my right hearing and I hear a strange noise in my mouth tissues and feel heaviness in the right side of my face. BC Dental \judges\ act like MAFIA. Always claiming dentists are right, no matter what kind of disaster they make. The answer from BC Dental is the mistakes always happen and the dentist didn't do it intentionally, i.e. it is the patients fault. It's as if someone causes a car accident and makes another person paralyzed and police dismiss the case because he always had a good driving history. I would like to talk to anyone who also wants to take legal action against CDSBC. My email is [email protected]

Thanks to them and the Health Officer, every single dentist in my city is closed. There isn't even one open for emergencies. The virus hasn't even hit here yet, but all they still closed in March anyway because of the guidelines. So now everyone with an emergency (myself included) is SOL. Doesn't matter if you're self-isolating and/or consent to being tested. They're closed and that's that. So, thanks. Really appreciate it.

Its shameful world to profit of someones health and suffering, if you got no money no dental care for you and your kids, and they call most dental work a cosmetic thing, your acting like thieves not doctors. This is at the level of extortion and should be illegal.

A few questions for the College. In your 2019 fee guide the College provides fees for amalgam fillings which are no longer used by all the Dentists I have been in contact with and for good reason. Please explain why the College continues to provide the fee related to amalgam fillings rather then the almost exclusively used composite fillings? It's seems the College's mandate is to confuse the general public by refusing to update, you update the fees yearly, why not the product? Or, is there another reason why the College continues to maintain this archaic misinformation? Further, the College knows perfectly well that the fee guide becomes effective with higher fees Feb 1st of every year, why are the fees not updated at this time? Are you really that lazy?
