A nice and charming place to relax and take your mind off what's going on in the world. The spa staff are top notch and very caring. They're very good at applying the right techniques and pressure for an optimal relaxation experience. The administrative staff was very helpful, agile, and flexible; and the restaurant staff are a delight under the circumstances. The room is spacious and comfortable. The food is delicious and decadant with the portions being the right size, if somewhat salty. Main point of contention is the acoustics in some of the public areas are sub optimal since you can hear every one in stereo. I'd give them 4.5* if I could.

We went for our 6th anniversary. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. The room was great. There was one thing that was disappointing the tub in the room was one of those walk in tubs. Not enough space for 2. Everything else was well worth the package price. The chef gives cooking classes and sends you home with new recipes. The owners were as kind and welcoming as the staff. They were also interested in your feedback so that they could improve your experience. I would go again.

My friend and I found a travelzoo deal for 389 that included an overnight stay, 120 spa credit for two, 2 item breakfast, 3 course lunch, high tea, 3 course dinner. They also offered yoga and cooking class if you’re able to catch it at the right day (No additional cost). As thought that was a total steal and booked it. We were greeted by friendly staff who offered us a welcome tea while we filled in paperwork. The rooms were clean and spacious. Everything was staggered due to covid, so most of the time, we dined in a relatively empty dining area. I felt safe. Our massage therapist and dining server were friendly and did an amazing job. It really added to our overall experience. The front desk staff were very accommodating and allowed us to have a slightly later check out. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this getaway. My only complaint is that I wish we could adjust the hot tub to be a little hotter.

We are just coming to the end of our 2 night stay, and what a great time we have had. We chose to stay at the Wellness Retreat for our 13th anniversary, we usually stay in the Falls but wanted a change. From when we we arrived we were greeted with professionalism the staff were very friendly. The retreat on appearance looked lovely. The rooms were huge and amazingly clean, we couldn't find dust, dirt. I got to experience 3 spa treatments scalp massage, reflexology and aromatherapy massage. All 3 were good, however I had hoped the reflexology would have been focused more on my tired feet, then pulling my legs, being a dog walker my feet get very tired. We used the outdoor hottubs and walked the trail. In regards to the outdoor tubs, they are locked and you have to go reception to open, which is fine, but the con is waiting outside in the cold, and they don't come when said. This system needs to improve! Food, all I can say is outstanding the chef does an amazing job, it was tasty, greatly presented. The high tea is a great addition to the menu. Drinks menu is limited not sure if covid related. Adding a nice Rose wine would be great. Overall this is a great place to come for R&R. Worth 5*

The food was great. And those lady servers in the restaurant were nice. But the spa and the garden suite room were kinda meh. It could be a nice place if they have a gym, a pool, or some firepits around the hot tubs.

I had my wedding in Northumberland Heights in mid December 2020, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff in charge of events coordination were extremely helpful. Vandana, in particular, made sure to follow up with me closely, making sure everything is organized like we desired! The food was fabulous, all courses are worth considering and truly delicious. We were also offered one night in a honeymoon suite which was great. I highly recommend this nice place for weddings, city escapes, and great food experience.

This place is AMAZING!! Such a relaxing getaway with everything we could ask for. It’s a small boutique hotel literally in the forest (you have to take a dirt road to get there!!). We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tubs, complimentary yoga, the amazing breakfasts and the kind and attentive staff!! I would 100% revisit and take advantage of the spa (the menu looked amazing but we didn’t book this time around). Thank you thank you thank you!!

Spa treatment was excellent. The spa staff were the friendliest and best out of all the people. The room was clean and neat. Hot tubs were open till 7 pm so this was a little inconvenient. The food was ok but not five star. Service was ok .. most times we got our own coffee and brought into the restaurant ...easier then asking wait staff. The fire tables ran out of propane making it difficult to use at night . Leaving little else to do .. Menu is limited to dinner with little else to eat after 9pm. Even if u tell them there are dietary needs this will become an awkward conversation with the chef . Better to bring your own food if you have special needs for food. Although only certain classes.of rooms have refrigerator. A 12 percent gratuity is added on all services, food etc. So the staff have little motivation to go above and beyond. With exception to some who really tried to make the experience better. Nice pond and forest to walk in .
