I've always received reasonably good service here. The only thing I have an issue with are their prices. When comparing to other cigar stores I've alway found them to be 20-30% higher here. I've raised the issue a couple times now and always get the response, "it's the taxes, we'd have to sell below cost to compete with the other guys". I understand there's taxes, but everyone has to pay them. Just own the fact that you charge more or adjust your prices to be more competitive, don't lie to me.
The cashier is a complete jerk. I once got a monthly bus pass (77) and I found out I only got 10 bus passes instead of the monthly. Make sure you get your receipts. Otherwise you won't get nothing back. In fact, just buy your bus passes at city hall or somewhere else. The transit office can help you track your bus pass purchases. If only I knew this sooner. What happened to me was downright criminal.
Visited the wonderful Club Cigar Store today to purchase some snacks and lotto tickets. Asked the cashier (owner I presume) to split my purchases in two as I wanted to get reimbursed for the snacks from work and pay for my own lotto. Asked for a receipt after the second purchase for the snacks. Nope. Sorry, no can do. Also, I do not normally allow purchases of lotto on credit. What the.....? Isn't a receipt MANDATORY for all purchases? Owner is such a piece of work. Avoid if possible as the guy is a straight up bitter old man.
Long time at this location and a reliable store for all your smoking needs. Magazines, snacks, coffee and lots more are also available. Friendly welcoming staff.
