Let me just say the guest and dining experience at Clockwork was exceptional. From first contact with the hostesses, our server that was very punctual and attentive and the manager who checked in quiet often with our table. Even the DJ that was present often checkedbim with our table and talked music. The cocktails were strong enough and refreshing (very creative names too) and the meals we had we all delicious and welcomed delight to our mouths. We ended the night being surprised by our server with a parting gift. She brought us little chocolate bites that melts in your mouth but packs a little heat to it. Most definately something to try!

I went to the terrace for a cocktail date with friends. Location is highly accessible being steps from Union station and on ground level outside of the hotel (you don't need to enter the Fairmont or use stairs). The decor sets a nice outdoor aesthetic, and service was friendly. Menu was accessible via phone using a scan code, i.e. you need to use wifi/data for menu access. While the food and drinks were pricey they tasted good. The half dozen oysters were 25 but came with scrumptious sauces. Cocktails ranged from 15-30 a glass. For cocktails we tried the pink sangria and watermelon sugar. Both were good but I prefer the watermelon sugar as it is light, fruity, sweet and refreshing.

The Royal York’s lobby used to be something to walk through to get to the York Station bar tucked away on the 2nd floor. Sadly, the tiny old bar is closed. When I first saw the new Clockwork bar I was amazed at how well it fit in the lobby. Like it had been there forever. A beautiful spot to sink into a comfortable chair, people watch and have a cocktail. Perfect lighting, good soundtrack and the friendliest staff. I look forward to meeting friends here for years to come.
