Clay for Kids began operations in 1981 and offered a 90-min pottery program in Calgary schools. Today, Clay for Kids offers over 55 art and curriculum projects and a unique method of teaching that ensures all students complete a successful project. After the class, the Clay for Kids instructors takes all the finished projects back to the studio where it will be fired and returned within 21 days. A follow up painting class is offered to the schools.Clay for Kids offices are located in Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer. We instruct 65,000 school students each year. Artist in Residence programs are offered to all schools in all locations in Alberta. The Calgary operation opened The Pottery Studio in 2009 in Deer Run, S.E. Calgary. Our service includes traditional clay making, classes, workshops, birthday parties, camps and Contemporary Ceramic Painting for adults and children. We specialize in Family Treasures and personalized service. Our most popular events are Parent's Night Out, birthday parties for all ages, couples evening workshops on the pottery wheel.
