My husband went to see a Saskatchewan chiropractor in Watson Sask. Before treatment he told her he was getting over a concussion and had tinnitus. My husband specified he wanted the Blair treatment done as he researched this method and it was offered in Watson at this clinic. The chiro took a x-ray and he was told his C1 was out of line. A 9 out of 10 with 10 being the worst. This 9 out of 10 misalignment did not show up just days before on the CT Scan that he had at the hospital just days before. While expecting the Blair treatment my husband felt and heard a snapping sound of a tool called an activator hit behind his ear. He felt a sharp loud ringing in his ear much louder than the existing tinnitus. The following hours led to a huge return of concussion symptoms. My husband would not have allowed this tool to be used especially behind his ear and it should have been discussed beforehand. The Chiropractor 's Association of Saskatchewan said there was no wrong doing and no evidence he was misled. We specifically drove to Watson to get the Blair Method we had researched. The specialist and radiologist's findings were very different from the chiropractors in fact they were confused with what the chiropractor said she found. All specialists agreed hitting someone in the back of the ear with an tool when they have concussion and tinnitus symptoms is not a good idea. There is no time it is a good idea. The Specialists said Chiropractors are not medical doctors and Radiologist go to school for years to read x-rays Ct scans etc. We are very disapointed in the chiro association.

If you put in a complaint with this association they turn it over to a fellow chiropractor. This person has no real medical experience. They likely share the same beliefs and skill sets. I feel complaints should be looked after by real doctors .
There are so many safer options than chiropractic.
