I was not pleased with my first class at this studio. The environment was cold and unwelcoming, coach was far from friendly and did not have any encouraging words, as she mostly looked at her phone or left the room. The training seemed poor (although this was my first class). She showed one demonstration then let us go on our own with very little to no corrections. The most disappointing part was when the coach was showing me how to hold my arms, then she told me “not to move the elbows away from the body or else I could get a shoulder injury” then proceeded to move my arm away from my body and hit hard, which obviously hurt my shoulder. However, I very much appreciated that the studio provided boxing gloves and pads as I did not have any. They also have showers and what seemed to me, good materials to use in more advanced classes!

If you are looking for a challenging & fun work out come try Chicboxing! I have had the pleasure of working with Megs & Tessa at the Barrie Studio and they were fantastic, high energy and great direction. I do work out at the Elmvale studio with Amanda and Susan as my coaches, they are great at pushing my limits and encouraging the class. Equipment is always available for people who dont have their own. Everyone has been so welcoming and great to be around. Keep up the great work ladies!
This place was so awesome, I decided to become a coach! I am so glad I did, my life has changed and I feel better holistically.
