We had a great time in the Tantalus Yurt at Cheekye Ranch. The king size bed was very comfy, and our huge deck had an incredible view of the river and mountains, decked out with a BBQ (with burner), a picnic table, and comfy lounge chairs. The communal fire pit was also great as a space to warm up and get to know fellow campers (socially distanced during COVID-19, of course). The washing & water station was also a handy helpful touch. Greg greeted us upon our arrival and was friendly and helpful always. It was wonderful to be among the mountains, trees, and of course, the horses, donkeys, and pigs of the ranch. We look forward to coming back!

My friend and I decided to leave the husbands home for a girls night away. We needed a place to stay where we felt safe in our tent. I give this place 5 star due to the location, close to Vancouver, the quiet beauty of the location and how safe we felt there. It was dry camping with a very clean porta potty close by. The river ran right next to our site and we both spent hours in and near the running water. I have recommended this to many friends and will go again. The biggest star goes to the friendly staff who were very accommodating with our last minute reservation request.

We stayed in the ‘little alpha’ yurt overlooking the Cheakamus river. It was fabulous! Huge deck with a BBQ and seating area. The yurt was comfy with a bunk bed (double on bottom and single on top): perfect for our family of 3. It also had a little table and chairs inside the yurt. Our friends booked all 5 yurts and we were able to open the gates to connect the 3 smaller yurt’s decks. This place is magical! The people are so kind and they do amazing work rescuing and rehabilitating horses, donkeys and pigs. We had a tour of the ranch and our tour guide, Marie, was so passionate and caring and the kids had a great time petting the horses. It was so nice to see the kids running around having water gun fights and playing hide and seek while the parents relaxed and had some drinks in front of the fire. We will definitely be back!

Came here with our 5 and 7 year old and loved it. The larger yurt was well worth being in the sound of the river outside while you sleep is comforting. Everyone we met on the ranch seemed very committed to the horses in their care. The took us for a walking tour with kids on Sierra and our kids still talk about it. The Yurt was well appointed and comfortable with all we needed for a relaxing stay. Across the street is a very cool Fergies for a place to eat out while your there for breakfast and lunch as needed.

Wow! What a fabulous place! I stayed in the Little Omega yurt and it was just perfect. The views were amazing. The quietness was perfect. And the overall area was just over the top awesomeness. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will be back in October to rent the Alpha yurt for my best friend’s birthday. This is definitely my new happy place.
