I ordered weekly meal as a delivery at my place. The first thing set me off, the delivery person did not even call me to notify that he is leaving the food at the door. Luckily it got to my attention that someone was at the porch. It was a 3hr window for delivery and you don't want to check every 10 mins to see if someone had left the food at the door. Not a good service on the delivery. Taste wise all of the items were good, except the Pomfret. All portions were okay, but I was disappointed to see the beef was mostly big chunk of fats and bones and only few pieces of beef. Really not sure how the restaurant would save money by serving this way, I would probably try one more time (as I really like the taste of the food), just to see if Management would address these shortcomings in future. If not probably that would be my last try!

Fantastic food! The real deal Bangladeshi food. It is so hard to find in the West end of Toronto. Well worth the very long drive from where I live to order pick up.

I really wanted to put 5 stars but I could not because I was very dissatisfied with the order that we received and the lack of customer service. On january 1st, 2021 we ordered the party platter as it was New Year and my mother's birthday. It cost about 73 dollars for it. The platter includes 4 roasts, 4 parathas that were cut in half making it to 8 half slices, 1 kg kala bhuna with large cloves of garlic. a tray of puloa, Deshi salad, 4 pieces of shami kabob, and dessert which was phirini/ kheer. For the price of the food the portion sizes were disappointing and lacking. The tray of rice was small, chicken roast was pretty much drenched in oil, deshi salad was not deshi salad, there was slices of carrots and onions with a small bed of lettuce and small cucumber slices. The kheer looked as if it only served 2 people and not 4. The paratha's looked store bought. Also, one of the garlic cloves on the kala bhuna had a nasty mold on it. Clearly, there was no care when making certain items. The food was tasty especially the kheer but for the price that we paid, you would think that there would be enough food, however, unfortunately it was not. I am someone who supports small businesses but I felt that Chawk Bazar raised their prices lately and the quality has gone down. I've been to chawk bazar many times before the pandemic hit, but I have no idea what happened to the quality and quantity of their food???? Also, when my father emailed them about our dissatisfaction, there was no response from them and we indeed waited about a month for their reply but nothing. I don't know if Chawk Bazar changed management but this is VERY VERY disappointing both customer service, price, quality and the quantity. A party platter should be what it is, a party platter.

Been fan of their food menus long since 2018. After moving to Toronto, their Maro chokkha offer has been my go to for dailies. Specially their free daal and rice part. Quality wise, it always gives me back home tasted and vibes. Even During pandemic, their timely home delivery amazes me. Recommended if you’re craving South Asian cousin.

Great authentic Bangladeshi food with big portions and lots of flavour. Customer service is always great and packaging is sturdy and environmentally friendly. Highly recommend!
