Experience, knowledge and an ability to connect with people and the subject matter at hand. Chad doesn't just understand the technical aspects of photography he has a passion for making it and incredible experience. If you have doubts, you need to check out the Instagram account chadbarryphotography, especially the recent night, wilderness, engagement shot in Algonquin Park (Sept 2020). I know a number of photographers, and really none of them balance the diversity of experience and professionalism that Chad and his team can bring to the table. Working with Chad Barry Photography you will get someone who cares about what you want to accomplish and can articulate the requirements and commitments you need to make to get there. Rarely does someone find a photographer that can encompass so many talents and love what they do. After seeing Chad's work first hand and experiencing his kindness, caring and love for his work it has raised my standards for what a photographer should be. So if you are doing a wedding related event, need a special portrait done or need a knowledgeable mentor and guide to the world of photography, you should look no further you have found the right people here.

I have attended a number of Chad’s seminars over the years. I just finished my second trip with him to Algonquin. There is no doubt Chad has brought me to a new level of photography in virtually all aspects. His vast technical knowledge, knowledge of nature and it’s creatures as well as his creative abilities combine to deliver a truly awesome seminar experience. Chad is passionate about teaching his craft to others. This really shows in his work ethic and desire to meet the individual needs of his seminar participants.

I recently attended my first-ever workshop with Chad titled \Autumn in Algonquin\, and the experience was way beyond what I expected when I signed up! Chad's enthusiasm for teaching newbies (such as myself) to more experienced photographers, was apparent the entire week. Chad took the time to share his own extensive experience and knowledge with each of us whether it was in in-class where I learned new post-editing techniques and received gentle and thoughtful feedback on photos taken in the field, or in-the-field where I developed new skills and confidence shooting landscapes, wild-life, rapids and waterfalls! The one-on-one time Chad spent with me was invaluable and helped to improve my skill level and confidence! We hiked to many spectacular and well-thought out locations (thanks Chanel!) where we had ample opportunity to put into play what we learned! The week was a perfect balance between time spent in-class and in-the-field! Thanks Chad!

What an amazing experience the Algonquin Fall workshop was, Chad is a very accomplished photographer with teaching skills to match. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know him and the other members of the group. If your looking to take your wildlife and landscape photography to the next level look no further.

Chad Barry co-hosts two outstanding workshops (Autumn in Algonquin Park & Frosty Algonquin) in Algonquin Park. These workshops are an excellent balance between in class and in field, formal and informal learning. I cannot think of a better way to spend 3 or 4 days in Algonquin Park, learning new photography techniques, improving my processing and getting out on some amazing shoots.
