My favourite family outside of my real family is found at the Cave. I’m one to always try to use my time as wisely as I can. The Cave is one place I love doing this. Of course a space without people or a people without a space is no community. Thank’s to Peggy (Owner) for starting the Cave, its community and its continued sustenance. Without the Cave I may climb, but without those people, I’d climb worst. Thank you Peggy for being the spinner of the Dharma Wheel, for you and everyone at the Cave has helped me be better, both within and outside the gym. You have helped me clean both the inside and outside of my cup, for which I thank you! I look forward to returning in 2021!
The cave is on the small side of climbing gyms but doesn't lack any thing else but size. There are many boulders to do, two arches, a slab wall, campus board, and a gym too. The setting style is totally different than Up The Bloc as it's more technical, requiring a good knowledge of moves like figure 4 and toe hooks (just to name a few). In my experience, strength can get you far at Up The Bloc but at The Cave I found it to be more technical. Anyways, great place, similar prices to everywhere else. 60/mo 22/day. Also staff is super cool and friendly.
Brilliant gym with brilliant staff and owners. The friendliest youth team/trainers out there. awesome yoga team/classes are offered here too. Small gym with lots of climbing and good community
This is a small, family friendly gym with a focus on bouldering (no harness rock climbing). Very welcoming staff/environment. They have additional and available (included on price) exercise areas such as kickboxing studio and weigh/floor exercise area. They also provide special shoes upon registration. Overall great experience for tweens and teens if you need an active indoor day.
Great climbing for beginners (like myself) to advanced climbers. Very friendly staff and independently owned. Even though the area is slightly small, there are plenty of problems to climb and you can definitely progress. There is also a little workout area with a squat rack, weights, rings and a punching bag. Also,covid-safe. Definitely recommend.
A great gym! My regular gym was shut down and I decided to try this gym out even though it was about 30 minutes away from my home. At first I thought the small gym would be too small but I was definitely wrong. The setting here was very different from what I was use to seeing and it made me appreciate climbing that much more. It was challenging and forced me to think outside of the box to solve the problems. But also not too challenging where I no longer had fun. It was great trying out all of the climbs even if I couldn't complete some of the boulders. The creatively that went into the boulders was an eye opener and made me fall in love with the sport all over again. The staff were also incredible. And the regular members of the gym were very welcoming. I spent roughly 5 hours at the gym but still felt like it wasn't enough and I didn't get to fully explore all the walls. I would recommend this gym to anyone and will be coming back as soon as possible.
A fun full body workout.
