Disreputable company. They will promise a completion date and then not deliver. Please stay away from them. Communication with them even when they are doing a build is hard at best and they will lie to you in order to stall for more time. We were told our garage would be done in November 2014 (verbally over the phone) but it is now February 2015 and work is still not finished. We have terminated our contract with them but I'm hoping this review saves someone else the grief. Moreover, it appears they are not even paying their tradespeople! The whole process has been nothing but stress and a hassle. Please look elsewhere for a builder.

Why not everyone ban together and file a class action suit against them? It would seem a great deal of people got taken for their money here.

I sure hope the the end result is better then this whole building process has been.. I truly doubt that it will ever get finished!! I decided to use Carshack to built my garage after the salesman did an awesome job of telling me exactly what i wanted to hear. I was told that it would take a couple of weeks for them to acquire the permit, once that was done, construction would start shortly after. I was told approximately 3 weeks.. Its now been 4 months and all that i have is a pile of lumber in the back yard and tons of excuses and broken promises from Carshack. There is a pattern of a week or 2 in between tasks. First the excavation was done. we had to put up with that for over 2 weeks before the footings were poured. I guess there was a shortage of concrete in Calgary!! Once the footings were poured, it was almost weeks before the wall were poured.the floor was another 2 weeks after that. Lumber was delivered the following week and and then nothing for 3 weeks. I guess the whole crew was sick for 2 weeks. Good on Carshack for hiring a different contractor as to not delay us any further!. After 1 day on the job, contractor leaves because his crappy extension cord caused the breaker in the house to trip inside the house. Since we were away that week and not able to reset the breaker, the crew decided to pack up and move to a different job. I guess that was easier than asking the neighbors to use their power or to get a generator. A week later when we get back. we have 4 walls up and a few trusses. and now we sit and wait for who knows how long for shingles, doors, window and electrical. if the pattern continues, I'm thinking I should be able to park inside, hopefully by Christmas!!!! Its just a small garage for crying out loud, why does it have to be so complicate!!! I was looking for hassle free, since i din't have time to build it myself. Hindsight, it would have been a lot less stressful to have built it myself! Extremely Frustrated!!!!!

Take your money and run run run! Carshacks is the most dishonest company going! It should raise red flags when you find out they cant pay their rent and revenue canada is now snooping around their place. Report them to the BBB. They won't be around much longer. Its all smoke screens and lies. The lady Lou whose at the office even sits in the dark and hides if anyone knocks on the door. Count your losses and get someone else to finish your garage. But report them, they shouldnt be in business.

Did not build a garage with CarShacks - the reason is that they are unreachable via phone, email or their website. I've been trying to reach them for two weeks now to get a quote for a garage. Given the fact that I can get a hold of anyone to even give me a quote - makes me think of their service once you do already have you money.
