Got some delicious takeout from here tonight! Everything was good but I especially enjoyed the schnitzel sandwich, hunter’s stew, and homemade potato salad. My small daughter demolished the pierogies and kielbasa sausage. Really nice people too. Highly recommend!
This place is great- would strongly recommend it! My boyfriend and I were in Ottawa during the weekend and were looking for some authentic Polish food. Very happy we came across this place, the food was awesome and we especially loved the schnitzel. Nice to find a taste of my hometown in Ottawa!
It’s not everyday (especially nowadays) you can see and experience a true “Mom and Pop” type eatery. In Carleton Place Ontario just opposite the historic Grand Hotel on Bridge Street you will find such a place, Bistro Polo. Specializing in Polish comfort food that was so good I had lunch, dinner, and ordered a family sized gathering of home made delicacies to bring home to Montreal the next morning. My wife who happens not to share my affinity for Eastern European cuisine cleaned her plate and really enjoyed it. The service is homey and friendly, and the food is fantastic!
Big portions fair prices they're only open friday Saturday's and sundays for now I guess but hopefully that will change ! Great success
WOW! Instead of pizza we wanted to try something different... and this is something different! As a big family we were able to try several items and nothing disappointed. Incredible cabbage rolls and schnitzels and sausage and the meatball sandwich was a hit. We all loved the cheese perogies, but I have to say, the most pleasing surprise of the night we’re the mushroom perogies... incredibly delicious.
Ordered from here twice; kielbasa and meatball sandwich. Both were fantastic, quick, and great service - Great addition to Carleton Place. (maybe consider offering your sandwich rolls for sale, they are awesome :) )
The food is amazing. The staff are really friendly and the prices are right. I would recommend to anyone.
